【Chunan Police Precinct Joins Forces with Miaoli County Government to Promote Crime and human trafficking Prevention Among Migrant Workers】
In an effort to enhance migrant workers’awareness of Taiwan’s legal system and personal safety, the Chunan Police Precinct of Miaoli County Police Bureau, in cooperation with the Miaoli County Labor and Youth Development Department, conducted a crime prevention seminar on May 13, 2025. The event was held at the dormitory of Sheng Hua Manpower Agency and attracted around 60 Filipino migrant workers. The session was lively and highly interactive.
The entire session was delivered in English by an officer from the Foreign Affairs Section of Zhunan Police. Key police topics—such as drunk driving prevention, anti-money laundering, fraud awareness, and human trafficking identification—were clearly explained through accessible language. A quiz with prizes further engaged participants and reinforced their understanding of legal concepts and compliance.

According to the Zhunan Police Precinct, the number of migrant workers in Taiwan has steadily increased in recent years. To address this, the police have been actively conducting culturally adapted legal education sessions across factories and dormitories. By engaging in face-to-face communication and sharing practical examples, officers aim to make Taiwan a safer place for all foreign workers.
Moving forward, the Chunan Police Precinct will continue to collaborate with local authorities to promote a lawful and inclusive living environment for migrant workers, embodying the spirit of community policing and shared public safety.
